ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said there would be no load shedding during Sehar and Iftar timings in Ramazan.
While talking to Radio Pakistan, he said despite severe heat, there is no unannounced loadshedding in the country. He said electricity shortfall has reduced to 4,000 watts. He said the government has closed some plants that produce expensive electricity, which can also be operationalised if a need arises. The minister said there are hundreds of feeders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where zero loadshedding is being observed.
