ISLAMABAD: Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has warned of a sit-in outside the Punjab Assembly if the government does not meet Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s demand regarding forensic investigation into the Panama leaks.
Talking to the media outside the Parliament House on Friday, Ahmed said that a commission headed by the Supreme Court chief justice should be set up to investigate the leaks and inform the nation of the facts. He said that Panama leaks were just the beginning and more disclosures would follow.
He said that a thorough investigation should be conducted into the transfer of huge amounts abroad by the Sharif family.
The AML chief said that people would continue to face difficulties and problems if they do not come out on the streets in support of Khan during his upcoming sit-in in Lahore.
